Judith Lynn Strunk, MSN/2000 – Family Nurse Practitioner, and 1978 GVSU
(Nursing), 1985 GVSU (Geology), 1991 MSU (Geology), DNP/2010 Oakland
University, is an Assistant Professor for the MSU College of Nursing. As
such, Judith is very familiar with the College and its programs and can
easily speak to prospective/current students about the College of
Nursing. She is on the Undergraduate Program Committee, is a donor to
the Nursing General Scholarship fund as well as MSU Safe House, and
served as a peer reviewer the past two years. Prior to CON, Judith was
an RN/Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner at Sparrow Hospital, and an
Instructor at Ferris State University and Baker College. She has also
served as a Staff Nurse for Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, Mercy
Hospital in Cadillac, and Lansing’s Sparrow Hospital in the areas of
Obstetrics and Neonatal Intensive Care. She recently had an article
published in the Journal of Forensic Nursing titled "Knowledge,
Attitudes and Beliefs of Pre-nursing and Nursing Students about Sexual
Assault". Judith is excited about the opportunity to be involved with
other College of Nursing alumni on a regular basis.
